Ghanaian hip life star Sarkodie has just played in London’s O2 arena. He fills theatres back home and elsewhere across Africa and he is not afraid to mix the fun with the serious with his style of rap.
Last year he had a poke at the government in a song called ‘Dumsor,’ asking what they are doing to improve energy supplies.
Now with a brand new album, Sarkodie talks not just about the state of the nation, but matters of the heart. So is this song, ‘bra,’ about a particular lady?
The BBC’s Bola Mosuro met him to find out more.
