What sounded initially like a joke by Shatta Wale for many listeners of Peace FM’s entertainment review show last Saturday while he was being interviewed, turned out to be ‘serious business’ for the award winning artist when he expressed his anger against Akwasi Aboagye for asking the Board of
the Ghana Music Awards not to nominate him for an award this year due to his inconsistency.
There is an ongoing huge debate in the entertainment industry – whether or not the board of Ghana Music Award should nominate Shatta Wale for this year’s award scheme.
Akwasi Aboagye on his show a fortnight ago said he had realized over the years is that Shatta wale was not consistent. One moment he says one thing, the next moment he says otherwise – contradicting what he said earlier.
But these comments by the Presenter irked the musician and so when he was called on the show to clarify issues about his patching up with his colleague musician Samini, Shatta Wale seized the opportunity to express his anger at Akwasi Aboagye for his uncomplimentary comments.
