Obrafour a.k.a The Executioner |
Hiplife artiste, Obrafour has debunked reports that he pulled out of Sarkodie’s History In The Making concert in New York because of money.
The show organized by TM Entertainment saw acts from Ghana, Nigeria and the USA including Lighter Tod, Jadiluc, Banky W, Bisa K.Dei, Kwaw Kese, E.L, The Compozers and Shatta Wale.
Obrafour’s absence sparked speculations as a section of the public said the rapper refused to perform because the money offered him was meagre.
But a statement from the management of Execution Entertainment clarified that Obrafour agreed to play the show for free due to a long standing relationship with Sarkodie.
The statement also explained organizers of the event had earlier agreed to fly Obrafour in and out of America but later refused to pay for the flight.
Below is the statement
Contrary to reports making rounds that Obrafour pulled out of Sarkodie’s History in The Making concert because of money; Execution Entertainment will like to clarify that:
1. Obrafour agreed to play the show for FREE for Sarkodie’s sake.
2. Obrafour was billed to perform on another show ‘Festival Dance’ in New York and it’s that organizer that flew him to New York.
3. Organizers of Sarkodie’s HiTM ‘TM Entertainmentz’ had accepted to pay for Obrafour’s flight into New York to play the show for FREE but later refused to.
4. The decision to cancel the performance was taken by management after all efforts to get TM Entertainmentz to fulfil their part of the agreement proved futile.
