Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has called on government, particularly the President to work towards the productivity of the country in order to prevent the power outage from being a permanent situation.
Yvonne, who stated her disappointment in government for how long the crisis has been going on called for immediate attention to bring the situation to an end rather than allowing Ghanaians “get used to it”.
The 29-year-old lady took to her twitter page to voice out her worries on the recent power outage.
“Ghanaians wake up! We seriously don’t deserve this! #dumsormuststop…How will our country be productive? We can’t function! It’s sooo wrong!…The president doesn’t even see our tweets to him because the page is obviously not run by him! What’s the use? If you don’t handle your acc?…#dumsormuststop…I can never get used to it! How does our economy grow? Businesses are closing! Kids in school are failing! What a shame.”
Her tweets came hours after her colleague actor, John Dumelo, called on Ghanaians to be patient with the president.
‘Dumsor’ the street name for the power outages occurring in the country for a long while now has been a major problem for many people and businesses.
