The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Circuit Court refused to grant embattled hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese, bail, meaning the ‘Abodam’ rapper will spend the Christmas and New Year holidays in prison custody.
Kwaw Kesse’s tears and plea from his lawyers failed to convince the presiding judge, William Boampong, to grant the artiste bail.
Kwaw Kese, known formally as Emmanuel Botchway, made his fourth bail attempt today, Tuesday, after hearing was postponed from yesterday.
The ‘Abodam’ rapper has been in prison custody for over month, following his arrest by the Kumasi Police on Saturday, November 22, for allegedly smoking cannabis in public.
Kwaw Kese has now been refused bail for the fourth consecutive time.
The case has been adjourned to January 5, 2015.
