Michael Oware Sakyi, popularly known as Minister OJ was handcuffed for more than an hour during his album launch last Sunday at Liberty Assemblies of God Church, Lapaz.
The musician after performing four of his old tracks was asked to hold on for Apostle Oko Hackman to launch the album and appeal for funds to support his ‘Onipa Hia Mmoa’ project.
As the activity went on, he was called on stage and was surprisingly spotted in handcuffs.
He explained the handcuff signifies the bondage and shackles of life which are impediments to one’s success.
OJ expressed that while in handcuffs, there was a restriction to his actions and believes the hardships people go through can stifle their progress, the need to help the needy.
Abrantepa.com can describe the launch of OJ’s fourth album, ?boafo?, which means ‘helper’ as successful as it sold out.
The event was graced by Second Lady, Mrs Matilda Amissah Arthur and saw performances from SP Kofi Sarpong, Nacee, Ohemaa Mercy, Obaapa Christy, Ceccy Twum and Piesie Esther.
