Ghanaian fastest rapper, Sarkodie, has received nine nods for this year’s edition of the MTN 4Syte TV Video Awards making him the highest nominee for the event.
This was revealed at a ceremony held at the Oak Plaza in Accra last Saturday.
Following closely with seven nominations each are Edem, E.L and UK based artiste, Fuse ODG.
Sarkodie was nominated for Best Collaboration Video together with Castro for their song, Adonai, Best Directed Video(Pon Da Tin) featuring Banky W, Best Male Video(Pon Da Tin) and Best Hip-Hop Video (Bounce).
The rest are Most Popular Video (Adonia), Best Photography (Adonai), Most Influential Artist (Adonai), Best Story Line Video (Down On One) and Best Hiplife Video (Adonai).
This year’s edition of the competition, which is in its sixth year, has an international dimension with the addition of the category for Best African Act Video award.
Battling for the honours are Ice Prince ft Sarkodie for the song, Shot On Shot, Davido featuring Mafikizolo for Tchelete (Goodlife), Marvins for Dorobucci, Phyno featuring Flavor for Autha.
Also in the race are P Square for Testimony, Yemi Alade for Johnny, Wiz Boy for Wizolingo and Bucie for Easy To Love.
The MTN 4syte Music Video Awards comes off on Saturday, November 15 at the Accra International Conference Centre where awards in 18 categories will be given away.
The main event will be preceded with a Nominees Jam at Heroes’ Park in Kumasi.
