Hiplife musician Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng popularly known in the showbiz circles as Kontihene. He is credited as being the first artist who introduced jama into Ghanaian music circles through his debut hit “Aketesia”.
It subsequently won him Ghana`s best song in 2002 at the Ghana music Awards.
He is also believe to be the first highlife artist to be featured by the renowned highlife musician Kojo Antwi on his “Me die ne woa” song and the music man himself helped him record his second album.
Kontihene known for hard core punches in his lyrics have been releasing singles upon singles in recent times, but cannot be compared to any of his old records.
The Aketesie hit maker argued that his music is timeless unlike others who just record anything in recent times capitalizing on the social platform for promotion.
Speaking to worshipper host of work and happiness show on A1 Radio, the Award winning hiplife musician said “everyone can bear witness to his songs like Aketesie, Krohinkro, Esi, amongst others which he can perform anytime on every occasion’’.
He reiterated that upcoming musicians need to sharpen their songwriting abilities in other to come out with timeless songs.
