Highlife artiste KK Fosu is so enthralled with the music of Bisa Kdei that he has promised to throw a party for the latter if he wins Artiste of the Year at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) slated for next month.
According to KK Fosu, Bisa Kdei is a fantastic artiste who has done so well in the year under review. “Apart from Bisa lifting the image of highlife music high, he is one of the very few people who is impacting the lives of Ghanaians with his works” KK Fosu told Doctor Cann on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra on Saturday.
KK Fosu further explained that in these times of the Ghanaian music industry where Azonto is the order of the day, Bisa is the artiste who has held the fort where highlife music is concerned.
“Although the likes of Daddy Lumba, Amakye Dede, Pat Thomas, Kwabena Kwabena and myself pushed highlife music very high, Bisa is currently the one taking highlife music to the next level. He has done so well to maintain highlife music”.
Responding to KK Fosu, Bisa Kdei who is happy about the news told Showbiz yesterday, April 3, he is glad his works have been recognised by a great artiste such as KK Fosu.
Bisa Kdei who revealed he is ready to release a new single, Pillow, featuring Mugeez next month added that highlife is the only authentic Ghanaian music hence the reason he does the genre.
Bisa Kdei also seized the opportunity to ask Ghanaians to vote for him to emerge the Artiste of the Year at the VGMA.
